Welcome to the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association‘s Online Shop.
Your use of our web site and online shop is expressly conditional upon your acceptance of our Privacy Policy and the following General Terms and Conditions of Use.
The services available to you through the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association web site and/or online Shop are provided by the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association and its affiliates and agents subject to the following conditions.
When you use any current or future British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association service, or visit or purchase from any business affiliated with the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association, whether or not included in this web site or online shop, you will also be subject to any additional guidelines or conditions applicable to that service or business.
Your Account
If you use the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association web site or online shop, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account you create and any associated password and for restricting access to that account, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password.
The British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association does sell products for children, but it only sells them to adults, who can purchase products with a credit card. If you are under 18, you may only use the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association‘s online shop with the involvement of a parent or guardian. The British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association and its affiliates reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders at their sole discretion.
Product Descriptions
Whilst the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association and its affiliates attempt to be as accurate as possible, they do not warrant that product descriptions or other content on this web site is accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free. If a product offered by the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association itself is not as described, your sole remedy is to return it in unused condition for a full refund.
The British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association reserves the right to alter the specification and colours of products available from our online shop without notice.
Prices
Product prices in our online shop are subject to change without notice. They include VAT where applicable, and also include postage and packing for international Skywings magazine subscriptions, and postage and packing for all products where delivery is to a UK address.
All other overseas customers, and those wishing to place bulk orders, must confirm the additional shipping, packing and insurance before placing an order.
Orders, Sales & Cancellations
Members of the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association should quote their membership number when placing an order.
All products are sold subject to the manufacturer's conditions of sale.
If you cancel an order that has not been despatched, then a full refund will be made. If you cancel and order that has already been despatched, no refund will be possible until you return the goods in "as new condition" in the original packaging. The cost of despatching the goods will be deducted from the refund offered.
Delivery
Please allow 28 days for delivery. Any discrepancy between the product or products ordered and those delivered must be notified within 7 days.
Risk of Loss
All items purchased from the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier.
Returns
If unwanted goods are returned in "as new condition" in the original packaging within 7 days of their receipt, a full refund will be made.
Other Businesses
Parties other than the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association and its subsidiaries operate stores, provide services, and sell some of the product lines available from our online shop. In addition, we provide links to the sites of affiliated companies and certain other businesses. We are not responsible for examining or evaluating goods or services offered by those companies, and we do not warrant the offerings of any of those businesses or individuals or the content of their Web sites. The British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association does not assume any responsibility or liability for the actions, product, and content of all these and any other third parties. Disputes

Conditions of BHPA Membership
The following additional conditions apply to all members of the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association.
In applying for or renewing membership of the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association you must agree to be bound by the following Conditions of Membership for as long as you remain a member of the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association:
- I understand that before I fly I must be physically and mentally fit to do so.
- Before undergoing any training I undertake to inform my instructor if I suffer from any mental or physical defect, infirmity, previous injury, disease or condition which could increase the risk of an accident or the severity of an injury.
- I understand that falsification of age or educational status will invalidate my insurance.
- I understand that this is a potentially hazardous sport which carries a risk of personal injury.
- I understand that membership benefits will be those ruling at the time of my acceptance.
- I understand that in the event of cancellation of membership, the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association will not refund the unexpired part of my annual subscription as advance payments will already have been made to insurers.
